Accessibility Statement
Antique Clock Repair California
Antique Clock Repair California (AntiqueClockRepairCa.com) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and to align with the accessibility expectations commonly applied under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for websites.
Our approach
We have implemented accessibility features and tested our site so that core content and functionality are available to keyboard users, screen reader users, and others who benefit from accessible design.
What we’ve done
- Skip link: A “Skip to main content” link appears on keyboard focus so you can bypass repeated navigation and go straight to the main content.
- Keyboard access: All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms, carousels) can be operated with the keyboard (Tab, Enter, Space, arrow keys where relevant). Focus is not trapped.
- Visible focus: A clear focus indicator (green outline) shows which element has focus when navigating by keyboard.
- Forms: The contact form uses proper labels, required-field indicators, and error messages that are announced to assistive technologies. Input purposes are identified where applicable (e.g. name, email, phone).
- Contrast and readability: Text and UI elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast where possible.
- Text size and spacing: You can increase text size (up to 200%) and adjust text spacing via the floating accessibility panel. These settings are saved so they persist across visits.
- Motion: We respect “Reduce motion” (system preference or our panel toggle). When reduce motion is on, auto-advancing slides and video pause.
- Images and media: Meaningful images have descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technologies. Video is muted by default and does not autoplay sound.
- Structure and semantics: We use headings, landmarks (e.g. banner, main navigation, main content, footer), and ARIA where needed so the page structure is clear to assistive technologies.
Testing
We use automated accessibility testing (including axe-core with WCAG 2 and 2.1 Level A and AA rules) on key pages. We also rely on keyboard and screen reader testing to improve the experience. Accessibility is an ongoing effort; we review and update our site with that in mind.
Known limitations and feedback
Some third-party content or tools may not fully meet our accessibility goals. We are committed to improving accessibility and welcome your feedback. If you encounter barriers or have suggestions, please contact us and we will do our best to address them.
